Melissa has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and teaching since completing her 200 hour training in 2020 at Giving Tree Yoga + Wellness in Smyrna, GA. Her training is rooted in hatha yoga and includes a strong foundation in yoga philosophy and anatomy to ensure the safety and well-being of her students. She advocates that yoga is for anyone and can be done anywhere. Her approach to teaching is one of mindfulness, encouraging students to listen to their body and what they need. Melissa loves being outdoors and when not working her marketing day job or doing yoga, you can find her hiking and hanging out with her husband and two dogs.
Hatha Practice - 15 minutes/30 minutes

Vin-Yin Practice 45 minutes/60-minutes
Get the best of both worlds in this half vinyasa and half yin class. Begin with a mindful flow of movements to build strength and warmth followed by longer held poses to help increase flexibility and mobility and let go of the week.

All Levels Welcome. Props are always encouraged but are optional.
Props to consider for your practice include: yoga blocks or heavy thick books, a blanket or towel that can easily be rolled up, and/or a strap or scarf.
